My new arm candy- a life inspiration story

I’m not the kinda girl that kills for a handbag. I don’t desire  all the latest It-bags but hey, when I really like one, when my name is written all over it, well, I melt. This lovely one was on my wish list for half a year (they had a beautiful grey one at Rio in Ghent http://www.riostore.be), but I was strong and waited. A few weeks ago, I was in Paris for a show, and during our shopping later, we passed by Stella’s shop in Paris. There it was: The Falabella Bag.  The feel? Soft and slouchy leather feel. Yes, no real leather because Stella is against animal use. This material is so sensual, so fabulous to touch… Sorry, but I surrendered.  The details? A striking silver chain trim, featuring a single press stud fastening and double chain handles, it is the elegant simplicity that stole my heart. Oh yeah, did I mention, I got this beauty from my man? I did. Thanks my love. Thank you Ivan. Stella store in Paris, and the soon …

Go…Go Paris-a life inspiration day

Every time we head for Paris, we forget our city map. All right, we know our way very well in the city of light, we are familiar with the hip and happening ‘quartiers’ and know Palais de Tokyo by heart (and know they serve the best lunch à Paris) but if you don’t want to walk with your smartphone in hand for the latest new ‘hoods’ (looks like a tourist, no?), a map comes in handy. But we didn’t bring ours. Colette (with our eyes closed, what do you think), was a must visit yesterday and off course they had thé city guide of the moment: GoGo Paris. This IS the essential city guide of the 500+ hottest spots to eat, drink, shop, sleep, and hang out in Paris this autumn and winter.  This cult Paris fanzine turned insider blog gogoparis.com spots the best from Paris’ hyperactive arts, food and fashion scenes since 2005.Their unique TAG system makes finding what you’re looking for super easy: filter by ‘budget’, ‘wine bar’, ‘open late’, ‘menswear’, ‘shoes’, ‘vegetarian’, ‘vintage’, ‘wi-fi’ …

One day Paris shopping-a life inspiration day

Some shopping in Paris? Always a good idea. The show of Ann Demeulemeester started at 11u30 am, and 20 minutes later we were ready to hit the town. It’s always difficult to choose which ‘quartier’ to visit, when you only have a few hours. It’s been a while since we went to Colette, so we started there. But we first passed by my all time favorite perfume shop of Comme Des Garcons. A small but exclusive selection and the most beautiful ‘degradé’ pink windows. I’m sure we know this store at least 15 years and it is still as pure and beautiful as then.

70 ties über-classic Empreinte de Courreges – a life inspiration day

A re-edition of a 70 ties perfume, as it’s never been forgotten and still remembered by many… No, I’m too young to have my own sweet memories about this one, and my mum is a life long addict of YSL Rive Gauche, so , no. It’s my love for the futuristic style of the timeless house Courrèges that brought me to Paris, were the Courrèges scents were available(again). Courrèges brings back two classical fragrances – Empreinte, originally from 1970, and Eau de 1979.
